What’s the difference between Sony’s DVD505 and the DVD405? Common sense would tell you that the one with the bigger number–and bigger price tag–is better. In the end, it depends on what is most important to you.

The DVD505 costs about $700. The DVD405 weighs in at about $500.

What’s the extra $200 on the 505 get you?

1. A slightly larger LCD screen.
2. An extra megapixel (and an apparent “ClearVID CMOS Sensor^TM“)
3. Almost immeasurably larger and heavier unit
